“Twisted Bed”

No this is not a weird camera angle, the bed really looks like this.  This was a wild idea I had and decided to go ahead and build it.  The bed itself is made from salvaged oak timbers that are 2 1/4” thick and 5” wide.  The side rails are shaped on the outside to help the twisting illusion.  The accent boards which are curly cherry were also cut so their sides are not parallel giving the impression of even more twist.   The unforeseen problem with this bed is, I get the side that hits you in the ribs and my wife gets the side that stubs your toe.
