Returning from  a trip to Florida visiting my parents, my wife and I stopped at a wood dealer near Waldo.  Arriving just before closing, we took a quick look around his 3 acre facility.  Realizing we would need more time, we stayed overnight.  That evening, while suffering from sensory overload due to all we had seen, the concept for this table took form.  In the morning the first thing on our agenda was to find the perfect cypress slab for the table. We then sorted through piles of cypress knees finding the two that would complete the look I was going for.  We inspected the rest of the facility, one section at a time, selecting piece after piece, leaving with a truckload of inspiration.
